About Oskar

German Shepherd mix
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

Oskar and his brother Fritz were abandoned on the road outside our ranch several weeks ago. We found them wondering by our gate as we were heading out. Both pups appear to be about eight months old at present and although they were initially underweight are now very healthy and happy and growing well. Oskar is a black Shepard mix that looks like he has either Doberman or rott in him based on coloration. He is a very active dog that really likes people. Oscar is a licker and really thrives being outside walking and playing. He has all of his shots including rattlesnake vaccine and will be getting neutered in the near future. He is currently getting Simperica heartworm treatment every month. Oskar would do well in a setting with people around during the day. He is definitely not a dog that you would lock in a kennel all day and go to work. He kennels well at night. He needs a family that can invest the time in training him and certainly needs proper health care including heart worm prevention on a regular basis. Oskar seems to get along ok with our other mature dogs. He is a puppy and needs to work on his manners but also appears to receive criticism from the big dogs well. We are working on his sitting and leash waling skills and feel he is doing ok for the time he has been with us. If you are the right family for this dog, we would certainly like to have a chance to find out more about you and your experiences with dogs and puppies.
