About Sanford

Hello, my name is Sanford and I am an easy going, very loving retriever mix (with a little chow since my tongue is blackish) who was thankfully saved on my final day at the shelter. I have been thriving in a foster home where I get along with their dogs, and do not bother their kitties. I love to be with people and be pet all over, as well as give kisses. I am now searching for my forever family where ideally someone is at home most days since I am a great companion dog who wants nothing more than to be with my person(s). I also enjoy walks and playing when I get a chance. However, I am very calm in a home, as well as potty trained, but can also be playful if you want to play with me. My rescue believes I am about 5 years old, and they thankfully just provided me with vetting and neuter surgery since the shelter did not. I weigh about 50 lbs so I am perfect size. As you can see, my deep red color is stunning and my coat is now even more gorgeous than this older picture taken after being rescued.
