LOCATION: Vicksburg, Mississippi DOB: 5/20/2021 Hi! My name is Earl. I'm a Dane/Mastiff mix who is practically a pup! I'm super sweet and I definitely have a goofy side. I love having my ears rubbed (they're SUPER soft), and hugs and belly rubs are awesome too! I like to sit on the couch with you and if you let me, I love to take naps with you on the bed. I'm not a bed hog, but I do snore! I'm house trained and crate trained, and I'm working on learning how to walk on a leash using a Gentle Leader. I'm really getting the hang of it! I love going on walks, but lots of things are new to me and can seem scary at first. Like this week when I saw a scary thing hanging from a tree! My foster mom said it was just a baby swing, but I didn't like the way it looked, so I didn't want to go near it. I'm excited to meet other dogs and am always ready for some zoomies or a good game of chase. I also get along with cats, although I really want them to play with me, so sometimes my foster mom has to remind me to leave them alone. I'm always interested in what they are doing, so I like to follow them around the house. My favorite toys are sticks and stuffed animals that I can unstuff. I also love things that I can chew while I'm hanging out in my crate. If the weather is nice, I enjoy rolling around in the grass and checking out all the interesting smells in the yard. I think a house with some other pets would be great. And being able to get some exercise every day is good, because I can get bored just laying around since I'm still young. I've met a couple of young kids in the neighborhood, and I was a little nervous because they moved fast and made lots of noise, so maybe older kids would be a better fit. But so far I have been super sweet to everyone I have met, so I might just need a little time to get to know someone before I am relaxed around them. I love all kinds of treats and will sit very nicely to get one. I am also really good at cleaning up anything that happens to fall on the floor. I like to be helpful! But I am finding out that the yummy things on the kitchen counters are not supposed to be for me. What is a 'counter surfer'? Someone called me that.
