About Ginger

Ginger was rescued from Charleston Animal Society. She is believed to be 5.5 years old. The shelter socialized all dogs and she had no behavioral issues. However, she does not get along with our current dog, so we recommend a one pet home out of fairness to her and the family. Due to Ginger's unfortunate life in and out of homes, she is not well trained. As she is an older dog, she is quite set in her ways, but is doing better with training each day. She was not previously potty trained, but has been showing great improvement in that area. She has an eagerness to learn and improve. However, she will require a lot of patience, experience, and time. Ginger's a sweet dog who wants to give nothing but love and adoration. She did, however, have an incident at the dog park with another dog last month. The situation escalated and Ginger ended up biting the dog's owner. The situation was an unfortunate accident, but should be mentioned. It has been handled and she was evaluated accordingly. All have been doing well since this accident and all was resolved. Ginger is a very lively dog and worthy of so much love. She does somersaults in the air out of joy when we get home. All she wants are cuddles and kisses. Ginger deserves a home that has the time to give her the effort and attention she needs. I am confident she will repay every minute of attention she receives with nothing but true love and respect.
