About Blossom

This is my baby. She has been through so much in her life, she needs dedicated love and care. Would be best on her own without other animals, but can be integrated with most. We are looking into options of rehoming, or maybe euthanasia, due to a retaliation eviction that has left us with no other options. She is friendly to most people and kids, but has had few instances were certain adult males She does not like she is anxious and growly around, and kids are tolerable with her as long as the kids aren't causing her stress. She has food aggression issues, due to her neglect/abuse before she was in our care. She will scarf her food down when people she is uncomfortable or unfamiliar with is present, or other animals in the vicinity of her food. In may 2022 she was brutally attacked by two pit bulls who broke out of a back yard when we were on a walk, this has lead to some fear and anxiety from her from other dogs. She is not compatible with female animals of any sort. Otherwise she is so loving, she wants nothing more than to be a companion and be attended to. She is a big baby if you bond with her. This is heart breaking to do but I need my baby to be in a good home and live out her life safe, stable, and secure. She is mostly well behaved, and trained in basic commands. Can be stubborn though needs firm commands from someone she trusts. She is fence aggressive, or would appear so it may just be where we lived and that it was her stimulation and way of exerting energy. Her favorite place is Palmer Park, she loves hikes although it's been some time since she has had an adventure. All options and responses will be considered, the best will be interviewed or have a meet and great. We want to ensure she goes to the best home possible, and if things do not work out would prefer someone who is willing to stay in contact so we can make other arrangements if it does not work out. Fee will be refunded if necessary.
