About Ruby

Ruby was surrendered by her owner who became very sick and could no longer care for her. It was difficult, but the lady did the right thing for the dogs and herself. Ruby is funny and bouncy and sweet. She is quite a character with lots of fursonality. She is very vocal in a good way and likes to 'sing with the radio'. Ruby is a gal who knows what she wants lol. She gets around great for her age. Ruby loves attention and has always slept in bed with her owner; she is a wonderful little bed pug as she snuggles in and stays put all night. Ruby had a recent dental cleaning and only has 4 teeth left so she only eats soft food mixed with some water (thick soup). She had tested positive for Ehrlichia (similar to Lyme's) in the past but has since completed her antibiotic treatment and is doing very well. Ruby will go outside to do her business but will also use pee pads. She has lived with other dogs and cats as well. Ruby is 12 years old and 25 pounds. She is looking for a quieter home to live out her golden years. We do NOT ship our animals. All adoptive families must travel to us to meet their adoptive dog/cat. Applicants must live within a 2 hour radius from Sparta/Andover (07871/07821). Please understand that we are an animal shelter and thus unable to say whether the dogs are housebroken as they are not in homes.
