Penny is a lab-pit mix we adopted from a local shelter and is 1 year old. We adopted her as a companion to our 2 year old lab border collie Daisy. She is a very sweet girl who is very happy either hanging in the house, walking around with her boo boo (bear) toy, cuddling on the couch or hanging in her crate. She enjoys running the property outside with Daisy, hunting, chasing balls or chewing on sticks. Our main reason to rehome her is fighting with Daisy in the house. She has shown resource guarding (food, toys) when it comes to her or other dogs we have encountered at daycare. We sent her to a board and train for 3 weeks to help with basic obedience. She responds to an e-collar, works well with a pinch collar on lead and sleeps/hangs in a crate. She is OK with cats although very interested with their sudden movements and behaves well with our older teenagers. Our goal is to find her a home where she can thrive as the only dog and she can give and receive the love she truly deserves.
