11/30/22 Athena came to us as a small, baby puppy (you can see her journey on our FB page) at the beginning of Oct. It was clear there was something wrong with her and very quickly we realized she had multiple fractures in her lower jaw that caused her much distress and pain. After surgery, vetting and an incredible foster to help get her through a very difficult time she's now ready for adoption! We don't know what exactly happened to this sweet pup before she came to us but we know now what a sweet and loving little girl she is. She's maybe 5 months old now and a busy bundle of husky. Please be familiar with this breed, she will only go into a home who knows how to deal with the breed. She's not an apartment dog. She's getting some basic training while in care and her new home will need to keep up with her training and house manners as she transitions into her new and forever home. She's good with other dogs and all the people who's cared for her. She's not been cat tested at this time however this breed can tend to not do well with cats. She's young and she may be trained however her new home needs to be confident in the training. **This dog is currently at the rescue in TX however you can secure this pup for yourself with a pre-adoption which means getting your app in, approved and then paying the adoption fee. The adoption fee is $525 which covers spay/neuter, vaccinations, HW testing, chipping, health certificate and transport fees. All our dogs come with a 30 day, money back, trial period to make sure they are the right fit in your environment but if it doesn't work you will have to foster until the dog gets rehomed.
