About Diamond

Welcome to the #LonelyHeartsClub Diamond With only a little over a week remaining for #AdoptaSeniorPetMonth, 13 year old Diamond who recently entered the shelter will be frequently promoted! Diamond was originally adopted from the LA County shelter last month by a nice person that lived in Long Beach who wanted to help out a senior dog... as long as she got along with her cat. The shelter tested her and appeared good with a cat, so she was adopted. Unfortunately, after trying for several weeks to acclimate Diamond with her cat, she was not getting along with the energy a feline had in the home (I CAN RELATE). When she tried to return Diamond it was already too late and the shelter would not accept her, and although the adopter attempted to rehome her nothing came together and had to surrender her to Long Beach Animal Care Services this past Friday 11/18/2022 :( Diamond is a shy but affectionate and docile girl, she has some minor vision impairment but doesn't slow her down and can navigate around new surroundings easily. She may just have a hard time with fast moving objects (LIKE CATS) and things seem a little blurry to her up close. Although she just arrived a few days ago, she has been very tolerant with other dogs and is comfortable spending time with dogs with mellow energy. HI!
