About Ramsey

10-yr old Ramsey joined our family just two months ago, and for the first month all three dogs just kept getting better with each other, with the usual careful introductions and training. We've had three Rotties before and adore them, and we adore Ramsey, our Gentle Giant. ____________________________________________________________ In the second month, my little bullterrier mix started challenging him. At first Ramsey tried to disengage without really hurting her. But this week he pushed back, both dogs were hurt. Ramsey keeps indicating he wants to be friends again, with gentle grooming and calm attention to her; but my first dog Quinn is very unhappy about it, and the third dog is quite anxious about them. __________________________________________________ We are very sad to say that it's clear they cannot live together, and we want to find Ramsey a new home asap. He's a gentle old man. His ears have been recently flushed and a recent dental, and his health is great except for some arthritis in his hips. As his previous owners warned us, he is possessive about his toys. In his previous home, he lived with a female Aussie Shepard and they were best friends. We were told he was great with kids, which I can believe. He cannot be in a home with cats. Ramsey (named after the chef!) weighs 116 lbs.
