About Bella

Meet Bella-a 6 year old female Pitt terrier mix. Bella was rescued from an abusive situation at a young age and has come such a long way. She is spayed, utd on all vaccines and recently had her teeth cleaned! Bella is a docile girl who would do wonderfully in a quiet home with no other animals or children. She is eager to please her person and just wants love and affection. Cuddled up on the couch getting pets or chewing on her bones is when she's happiest. Unfortunately Bella's current family has learned she is not good with children the hard way and they have a toddler and a new baby on the way and it is no longer a safe situation. It has resorted to Bella needing to be separated and they feel it's not fair to her and want her to live the rest of her life happy in a home she can be comfortable and not stressed out by children. Bella gets anxious when she's home alone if anyone drives by or comes to the door so she will need to be crated when left alone, but no worries because she loves her crate and it is her safe space. She is crate and potty trained and knows basic commands such as sit, stay, come, cage, paw and go lay down. She's weary of new comers due to her past but once she knows they're okay with her person she will happily walk up to them for some affection. Bella has been around many foster puppies and has a male dog that she lives with however she does not do well with meeting new animals if not done properly. Especially adult dogs. Finding a home for older dogs is usually a long shot, especially one that prefers to be alone and in an only pet home.. but we are hopeful Bella will find her person to live out the rest of her days with.
