About Hannah

Adoption Fee: $300
Doberman Pinscher
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

Hannah has been our dear friend for so many years but we are concerned about her recent (last 3 years) behavior change that has created a very difficult situation for our family. We believe this change happened when our other dog passed away after a long battle with lyme. She has tested negative (btw)!). Just had her tested again in 11/22. She has been absolutely gentle with people (even kids) to date, but feel it would be irresponsible to have children or other dogs around having seen her when she gets instigated. When the environment loses control (typically instigated by another dog barking or growling) she loses control and attacks to the point of injury (to that dog). We are vigilant on walking her in a formal mode and keeping her away from other dogs in the street. The ideal scenario is that she would be in an adult home with a big fenced back yard. She would love to go for walks with someone who can support an 85 pound dobe who needs to be redirected from other dogs and rewarded for staying focused. We have no problems at the door, she is well potty trained and loves to nap in front of the fire. She's very, very sincere. She has a sweet and gentle heart, and appreciates clear instructions and healthy affection (not too physical with appropriate human-dog relations- Cesar style). She is currently staying with a dog-trainer in GreenBay and that trainer is happy to provide further context on her behavior. Thanks for your consideration and loving interest.
