Current on vaccines (per caregiver). No HW test. Owner reports: Shay was found as a stray. Shay had been recently shot which cased her blindness. Good Samaritan who found her took her to the vet to be treated for her wounds. Shay's original owners were located but they declined to take her back as they could not afford her medical care. Shay is now with her Good Samaritan. She had a double enucleation. It is reported that Shay is an indoor dog with the run of the house. She is said to be house broken and leash trained. Shay is reported to be good with adults and children of all ages. Shay is good with other dogs but requires a slow introduction. Care taker reports 'She's met a male dog with the person she's with now and at first was fine, but later did growl a bit. She is currently kept separated from other dogs in the home, but did come from a home with other dogs�'�|Even when she was in pain at the vet, she did not try to bite. She is nervous around the other dogs because she's newly blind, introductions need to be done carefully.' Shay resource guards toys, snapped once at another dog but did not bite. Shay is reported to be great with children, and currently lives with children of varying ages. Shay's current care giver takes Shay to work with her and she's doing well. She's great with people, but meetings dogs needs to be done carefully. Care giver reports 'She's super sweet, everyone that meets her falls in love. She needs some time and we're hoping to find someone who's knowledgeable and don't want to set her up for failure.'
