Please note that we will ask for a vet reference. Name: Roscoe Age: 13 years old Breed: Boston Terrier, 18# small Sex: Male, neutered Location: Wayne County, Michigan Vet Information: Roscoe is not up to date with vaccinations. He had a negative heartworm test in November 2021. He has an appointment at the vet in early December to update all he needs. Roscoe is not microchipped. He is completely blind due to cataracts that began developing in 2019. Roscoe has lots of energy but only walks in circles when outdoors. He does not feel comfortable on a leash. Roscoe has a healthy appetite and drinks a lot of water. He has difficulty holding his bladder. Owner Information: Roscoe has been with his current owners since he was two months old. Due to changes in the family with the addition of children and Roscoe's need for more attention as he's grown older, his owners would like to find him a home that can give him the care and attention that he needs so his golden years are as happy as possible for him. Roscoe is an indoor dog confined to one area of the house. He is housebroken. Roscoe knows cues for Sit, Stay, Down, No, Kennel, and Up. He had obedience training as a puppy. Roscoe is an outgoing boy who is good with people of all ages, dogs, cats, and other small animals. He currently lives with another small, male dog. Roscoe is not possessive with treats, toys, or food. He has no bite history and has never shown aggression to anyone or another animal. Roscoe has stayed with friends of his owners who have cats. He got scratched by one and has learned to mind his own business with cats. He keeps his distance when he is around them but is good with them. His owners feel that he adapts well to new situations and surroundings despite being blind because he is very amenable and everyone is his friend. They tell us that he's a pretty chill dog if he is comfortable. Roscoe's Owner Would Like You To Know: 'It has become very overwhelming to take care of him and give him the comfort he deserves in his late life and needs a home where an owner can focus on him. He has been a great companion to our family and I hope he can find a good home that can take care of him. He is registered with the American Kennel Club as well.' Does anyone have room for sweet Roscoe? **Owner Surrender Disclaimer: These are blind and visually impaired dogs who are living in homes, but their owners can no longer keep them.
