About Finley

Finley is a sweet little cuddle bug who loves his people but also has an independent side and therefore needs an experienced adopter who is ready to work with him. Like a cat, Finley loves to curl up in your lap on his schedule. He's more interested in napping under your chair than playing with his toys. Finley has great recall (in a secure yard) and will always respond to his name when you call him. Finley is friendly with other dogs, but prefers his home free of strange intruders (ie: the plumber). He will get grouchy if you try to groom him, so all grooming will need to be handled by a professional. Finley has been returned due to having a bite history and multiple incidents of biting his most recent adopter. He has had behavioral intervention and will need a new adopter who can continue to work with him on this training. His bites are seemingly random, so we are working on identifying possible triggers. Ultimately, he would do best in a home with a single person who can watch for these triggers and work through them. He regularly visits doggy day care and is great with the other dogs.
