About Hershey

(DOB 07/21/2020) Whether it is sweet chocolate kisses or smooth ice cream treats, who doesn't love some Hershey delights? This girl is a pure delight who will give lots of kisses but eat all your ice cream. At just 48 lbs, she's a perfect size-not too big or too small. Athletic, super smart, and engaging, she has tons of personality and is so much fun to have around. She loves toys and can quite often make her own fun, but she prefers you join in. She is quite the conversationalist and will talk with you when she wants you to play or when she needs to go out for potty. She is a foodie (especially when it's yours) and this makes training easy. She learned to sit on cue in just a few minutes. When it is time to go out for potty, she now knows she has to sit calmly at the door before going out. She loves to be outdoors and explore all the smells, but she will chase after cats and squirrels in a flash and can easily scale my 5ft wooden fence (with horizontal braces). If her new home has a fence, it will need to be at least 6 feet high or be a flat-sided 5ft vinyl fence. If no fence, she will need to be on leash when she is outdoors. She would do okay as an only dog if her family had a work for home or stay at home parent and she was given lots of opportunities to play with other dogs, but she would do BEST with another playful dog in her new home. She is house-trained and crate-trained. Crating when you are away from home is recommended so mischief doesn't find her while you are gone. With her energy and playfulness, she would do best with kids 10 and older. No cats! As part of Hershey's $250 adoption fee, she is spayed, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.
