About Spencer

Adorable Spencer is a Jack Russell Terrier mix boy of about 1 year of age. He is about 24 pounds which is a great size and has the most adorable big ears! He came to us from a hording situation in Abilene, TX via transport. He was living in a home with more than 40 dogs! Goodness! He and all his 'roommates' are slowly adjusting to being in living quarters with just a few dogs but are totally confused as to what happened in their life. Therefore they are quite shy at first. The home they were in just had women caretakers so they do warm up to women a little faster then the men. We have adopted out a couple of dogs from their group that were shy but have warmed up fairly quickly once in the home environment. Spencer has been out on harness & leash walks around the property but will require some additional training to make him comfortable on walks. He does have the ability to jump (as JRT's are know to do) so we do recommend a fenced yard with at least a 6 foot no climb fence for him. We aren't sure of his history with children so we are recommending slow introductions and families with children over 5. Spencer is fully vaccinated, neutered and micro-chipped. His adoption fee is $300 and covers his transport and neuter surgery.
