About Little Len

Adorable Little Len is a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix (we think) boy of about 1 year of age. He is about 35 pounds which is a great size! He came to us from a hording situation in Abilene, TX via transport. He was living in a home with more than 40 dogs! Goodness! He and all his 'roommates' are slowly adjusting to being in living quarters with just a few dogs but are totally confused as to what happened in their life. Therefore they are quite shy at first. The home they were in just had women caretakers so they do warm up to women a little faster then the men. We have adopted out a couple of dogs from their group that were shy but have warmed up fairly quickly once in the home environment. Little Len loves going into the back yard to run around and do his business, so we do recommend a fenced yard with at least a 6 foot no climb fence for him. He is still unsure of a leash walks so he will need additional training to get him comfortable in a harness and leash. We aren't sure of his history with children so we are recommending slow introductions and families with children over 5. Little Len is fully vaccinated, neutered and micro-chipped. His adoption fee is $300 and covers his transport and neuter surgery.
