About Zayna

Meet Zayna.. her name in Greek means 'God is Gracious,' and in Arabic it means 'beauty and Grace,' and this name was given to her the day we brought her home, and little did we know why it was put in our hearts to give her such a beautiful powerful strong meaningful name until the day of her very first vet appointment where her exam would transform her world and take her on a journey of healing we didn't know she needed. We had X-rays done on her spine, knees, and hips while she was under anesthesia for her spay. The results to those X-rays took everyone's breath away in that office. My vet looked at me and said, 'I don't know how she is walking, she is literally a walking miracle,' and proceeded to show me her X-rays.... both of her hip joints were completely out of their sockets, with what my vet said was more than likely caused by severe hip dysplasia/genetics and the severity seen in her case would leave a dog unable to walk, but she not only walked, she ran and jumped and played from the moment we took her in. The joy in her eyes, in her heart was contagious. Her pain never stole her joy, not even for a second. Becuase of the severity of her condition our vet decided on the femoral head ostectomy (FHO) which is a salvage procedure. The FHO removes the femoral head and neck of the femur in order to eliminate the bone-on-bone contact of the hip. This is done to alleviate pain associated with diseased or injured hip joints. And!!! Zayna did it!!!!! 2 hip surgeries, with the first one needing two corrective surgeries before the second one could even start!!! But she MADE it to the finish line and was CLEARED by our vet to finally begin her journey to finding her happily ever after!!! She is sooooo proud. And SOOO deserving of ALL that God has waiting for her!!!! Without the support of our amazing adopters, and FIRST and FOREMOST Gods AMAZING Grace stories like these would be Impossible to even envision.. let alone see all the way through til the end. But that's the thing!!! ALL things are POSSIBLE through Christ!!!! And that's why my Faith WILL always begin and end with Him as our Center!!!!! God Is Good, and I cannot wait to see what He has in store for our beautiful Zayna. She is 1.5 years of age. 48 lbs and full grown. She is also completely vaccinated, and chipped. She is house trained, crate trained, and leash trained. She knows sit, stay, and come. She is amazing in the car. Amazing with all dogs and cats alike. She is a lover of BALLS!! She loves loves loves balls. She loves to play fetch and is an amazing retriever. Amazing at the groomers. Very well behaved in the home. She is NOT a barker whatsoever!!!! She loves Everyone she meets. She is literally perfection!! We have spent ALOT on her vet costs alone, and we have done so out of pocket 100 percent with no outside donations of any kind. We have ALL vet records!!! Her overall care and training are just a bonus because what we are asking for in her adoption fee will NEVER be able to cover all we have done, and that's okay! With that said, we are asking $3000 for her adoption, which yes is double of what we normally ask for in adoption fees. (1500 is our standard fee.) it's NO where NEAR what we have spent on her, but again! That's okay!! If you are able to give more, that of course would be a blessing, but we are only asking for the above amount moving forward. We want the best home for her, she deserves the world. Has an adventurous beautiful spirit and she is ready to take on the world, one journey at a time!!! We ADOPT out of state, and can come all the way to you if you can't come to us as long as transport is covered. There is NO where we will not travel for her, so do not allow distance to keep you from reaching out to us!!!! We would love to see her all the way home no matter where the road takes us.
