About Luca

Please help us. If we cannot find a new home for Luca, he will have to be put down. He ran away a couple of days ago and attacked another dog that was being walked by its owner a couple of blocks away from where we live. This is the second time this has happened. We tried to surrender the dog to the Milwaukee Humane Society from where we got him at the beginning of the year. They told us, however, that, given the circumstances, they cannot accept a surrender and offered us instead to euthanize Luca. Luca is very good with people, both adults and children. He was originally a rescue from Mississippi who was brought to Milwaukee from a rescue group down there. The Milwaukee Humane Society did not have any further information about the dog, so we do not know in what surroundings he grew up as a puppy. He has a very strong hunting instinct. He is otherwise well behaved.
