About Alex

Alex is a middle aged chow chow who is around 6 years old and weighs about 65 pounds. He's a well socialized, easy going boy who is is good on leash, likes to ride in cars and has been fine with the other dogs he has met. He is most likely housetrained and sure to make this the best holiday ever for one lucky chow lover! Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all- volunteer, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and are scheduling individual adoptions in the Waynesboro, VA area during the pandemic. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
