About Callista

The first thing you might notice about Callista is her amazing underbite - we love a good underbite. But then you see the ribs, the spine, the sunken skull. Callista is one of a rash of emaciated dogs entering the shelter. They aren't just starved for affection. They are literally starved. Callista holds no grudges, she just wants food and love. Lots of food, and lots of love. Callista knows sit and tries to patiently wait for treats, but she is obviously so hungry and not used to knowing where her next meal is coming from; we aim to change that. Callista allows for handling and loves to crawl into your lap and nuzzle under your arm. She is truly a gem and we can't wait to see her at a healthy weight without that look of desperation Callista is young and has not had the best life to date; want to change that?
