Roo is a 3 %BD%BD%BD%BD year old neutered male Texas rescue. We have had him 2 years. He walks beautifully on a leash, comes when you call him, is crate trained and completely housebroken, and doesn't come in the kitchen. He is an excellent family dog who loves snuggles. He lives with cats with no issues and plays with our other small dog. Unlike many herders, he is not high energy. Roo has issues with anxiety. A year on Prozac and lots of training has helped. He has a hard time riding in the car (stands and pants the whole time), easily startles, has a high chase drive, and is dog reactive. It wasn't easy to socialize during COVID. He will need a patient hand with this. His behavior is very true to breed. Roo is smart and wants to please. He will add humor to your home. When he is not reactive, he is submissive and so gentle with our little dog. We have high hopes for Roo, but can no longer manage him in our urban neighborhood and with all the teens that come and go in our house. He has completed a month of e-collar training at Sauvie Island Kennels in January. We are hoping that with all the behavioral foundation work we have done, he can have a fresh start and live his best life. His rehoming fee is 40$ to show you are serious and he comes with his crate, e-collar, and toys.
