Introducing GIZMO! STATS: 13 year old Bichon LOCATION: Pensacola FL NEEDS: A loving home and a lap! HIGHLIGHTS: Friendly quiet and calm boy. We would like to introduce you to one of the best senior pups you could ever hope to meet! Gizmo is a 13 year old, 12 pound Bichon who certainly doesn't look or act his age! He came to us because his mom had to move for work and wasn't able to take him with her. She was absolutely heartbroken and we promised her that we would find him the best new home! Gizmo is a good boy who is very much into his person. He is sweet and loving and just wants to be in a lap or next to you. He loves to cuddle and give kisses. Gizmo is friendly and full of personality. His prior owner told us that he knew all sorts of tricks, but he's still getting used to things in his foster home so he hasn't shown us all his skills yet! He knows how to use the dog door to go potty, and he walks well on a leash and likes to go for walks. Gizmo gets along very well with other small dogs and would be fine as an only dog, or with another dog similar in size and age. He has not been tested with cats or kids. Gizmo loves car rides and doing almost anything, as long as his person is there. He is a very easy going boy! He sleeps in the big bed on a pillow above his foster mom's head. Gizmo has been to our vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, neutered, fecal tested, heartworm negative, has had a 12-month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. He does need a dental and that will be scheduled at one of our vets and is covered by the rescue. Gizmo is practically perfect and someone who is looking for a lovely gentlemanly lap dog is going to enjoy having him as part of their family. Applicants should live within a 1-2 hour drive to Pensacola. Puppies, dogs with pending vet appointments, and dogs with behavioral issues are only adoptable within a 1 hour drive to Pensacola. *We are a foster-based rescue and do not have a facility. Our dogs live in private homes in and around the Pensacola area until they are adopted. *To meet a dog or be considered for adoption you must first submit an adoption application for review. This does not obligate you to adopt a dog. *Unfortunately we are unable to personally respond to every application.
