[Read About Natural Cancer Care] SPECIAL PUP NEEDS A SPECIAL HOME! Meet ANGEL! STATS: 10 year old Maltese mix LOCATION: Pensacola FL NEEDS: A loving home! HIGHLIGHTS: Very sweet and happy girl. Angel is a 10 year old, 12 pound Maltese mix who was found as a stray and taken to the shelter. Poor Angel was in pretty rough shape. Her skin and eyes were infected but after antibiotics and eye meds, her skin and eyes are much improved! Angel is perfectly named because she is the sweetest, most easy going girl. She is a funny, playful girl with her person. She mostly ignores the other dogs so would be fine as an only dog. Angel loves to be brushed, loves belly rubs and loves to eat. She does a little dance waiting for her food to arrive in her bowl. She prefers sleeping in a dog bed. We don't think she would be bothered by cats or older kids as long as someone was there to scratch her head! Angel has learned the doggy door and goes out to potty. She knows how to walk on a leash, but would benefit from more practice. Angel has a growth on her side that we had had a biopsy done on and it is cancer. The vet recommended not doing surgery because it will almost certainly pop up again in several places. That's the type of cancer it is. Luckily it causes her no discomfort and the vet said she may be fine with this tumor for 5 years, maybe more, maybe less. It's like life...none of us know. What we do know is that she is a precious, happy girl who deserves a loving family and a soft bed for the rest of her life, however long that may be. We made the decision to put her up for adoption hoping that somebody would want to give her a loving home. Angel has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, spayed, fecal tested, heartworm negative, has had a 12-month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. Puppies, dogs with pending vet appointments, and dogs with behavioral issues are only adoptable within a 1 hour drive to Pensacola. *We are a foster-based rescue and do not have a facility. Our dogs live in private homes in and around the Pensacola area until they are adopted. *To meet a dog or be considered for adoption you must first submit an adoption application for review.
