About Totino

Goofy boy Totino (yes, like the pizza rolls) was found as a stray a few weeks ago in rural Tennessee. Since nobody came forward to claim him, he's been fully vetted and is ready to look for his own home for the holidays! He would do well in a home with other non-dominant dogs or would be a great solo companion! He currently lives with 7 other dogs and does beautifully besides with a crotchety old male pit who historically is the issue. He would prefer no cats or small critters as he has shown he likes to chase and bark. He is enthusiastically friendly with all people but tends to lean and jump so would ideally not be in a home with unstable adults or toddlers. We assume he is no older than 2 years and appears to be an Australian Cattle Dog mix. He's a medium sized boy at about 35 pounds but could use some groceries. He is a major Velcro dog and wants to be anywhere you are. He has not shown any signs of being destructive so far but needs someone who can help train him out of his indoor marking behavior. For the time being he wears a belly band inside. He does not like to be crated but has done well with them regardless, just wants to tell you loudly about how he would prefer his freedom. A fenced yard would be best for Tony as his original finders did not have luck with an electric fence for him. He could use some leash manners but generally isn't unruly on walks. He is looking for someone who can take him for plenty of car rides, has lots of time to nap and watch tv, and who has lots of chew toys and cuddles to share. He loves to spend time outside in the fenced yard just laying in the sun or running and playing with his siblings. He is super personable and loves to lay on his back in your lap and be doted over. He has a boisterous sense of what makes you laugh and seeks to do those things; he likes to be the center of attention. Totino has a bump on one of his back legs that appears to be an old break. It does not limit his mobility at this time but listed that he may have arthritis in his bio as this could be an issue in his geriatric years. I would really like to find a family for him who is familiar with cattle dog antics and training of dogs who are pretty set in their ways. He is a really sweet and fun dog but is a cattle dog through and through! Open to private adoption or rescue placement. I am not with a rescue so my resources are quite limited.
