About Concha

Concha is a 10 month old female mixed breed. We think Beagle/ Terrier. She's 25lbs and not going to get much bigger. Concha didn't get a ton of socialization at the beginning of her life in NM but she's picked up the home life quickly in CO. She's learning lots from the foster dogs in her home and is starting to gain confidence and act like 1 of the pack. She's almost 100% potty trained and is playing and eating with her foster dog buddies. She's really goofy at times and gets really excited about certain things and will do a wiggly dance to show off. She follows her foster mom around often and seems to want affection. Concha is still scared of a lot of things. She continues to blossom with patience and the TLC she's now receiving. She doesn't love the crate yet but gets lots of positive reinforcement (treats and peanut butter kongs) when she has to be crated when her foster is gone and is accepting it after whining for a few minutes. Concha will still need a patient home to continue to show her that people are good and certain movements or noises are normal and not scary. She would be best suited with a friendly dog or dogs that can help bring out her confidence. We're not sure how Concha is with kids or cats but she may be best off in a home without them initially.
