About Willow Franklin

Willow is a 10-year-old cattle dog/pitbull mix living in Frederick, Maryland. When she is with me or my wife, she is the sweetest, kindest, most loving, and most loyal dog ever. I think she would be a good fit for a single individual or a family without children with a fair-sized yard she can run around in. She is housebroken, listens well to commands, and has no health issues. She loves playing with her Kong and will chase and flip after it for hours. She likes walks but is happy enough to chase her Kong a couple of times a day for exercise. She has a pink blanket she has had since she was a puppy and she loves it unconditionally. I can take her for a walk without a leash and she will not stray. She is older but is very agile and energetic. She loves broccoli and tummy rubs. She just is aggressive with strangers and has never warmed up to my children. Unfortunately, and as heartbreaking as it is, I need to rehome her for this reason. I just want to make sure she gets to a good home with people who will love and care for her. I have raised her since she was a small puppy, and I will do anything to ensure I get her into a good home. Willow has broken skin once, several years ago. It was at a crowded holiday party, my mother-in-law cornered her with food, and she bit her on the face once and broke the skin. She has nipped my father and a friend of my wife's, not breaking the skin, related to food. She nipped my son when he was 3 when he went for her leash. She nipped my son again this week, he's now 7. She did not break the skin, but my wife is unwilling to keep her in the house any longer.
