About Bandit

Adoption Fee: $200
Lab mix
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

Bandit is looking for his forever home. I rescued him and his brother (see my other as). They were abandoned, as little pups, in a box. It took a while to get them healthy and well-adjusted. Bandit is so sweet and loyal. I love this dog. He is a joy to have around and quite a character. He got his name because as a small pup he would sneak around the house and steal whatever he could. He would creep by and take and hide the items in his doggie bed or in holes he dug outside. He still comes up with things I never knew were missing! Bandit can be a bit shy and standoffish of others at first and he does not like riding in the car. He has more to learn but I would keep him if I could. He is funny, easy to train, house broken, walks well on a lease, comes when called and responds extremely well to a 'beep' collar. He is just an all around adorable dog with a great personality and a big heart. I can't keep him because he does not do well with my small farm animals or cats. He is OK with the goats and he gets along with all the other dogs and the neighbor's dogs. He can be protective and sometimes has done the male dominate routine of barking and being a bit too aggressive with another dog. Mostly he just likes to play hard which surely has something to do with having been raised with 4 other large dogs, including two great Pyrenees. He never gets his way with them but he sure tries! Over all, Bandit is simply full of energy and loves to run. He is very affectionate and generally passes out cold about 7-8 pm. He is the dog that follows me everywhere and is eager to please. He loves his toys, his doggie bed and he always creates his own little 'nest' in whatever space I put him in. It's heartbreaking to think of letting him go but he was rescued and needs to be in a loving forever home with an environment where he gets lots of love and can have the freedom he needs and not be tempted or taunted by the presence of other small animals like chickens, rabbits etc. Please consider making Bandit a part of your family. This photo was taken previously but he looks exactly the same now. I will update soon.
