About Shiloh

Meet Shiloh !! This unique and beautiful girl was adopted when she was younger and now that there's a new baby on the way she's sadly put out of the home���z Shiloh is a 3 year old, female, Husky mix. Appears to be mixed with Australian Shepherd. She was allowed to get very overweight with her previous family. We are working to slim her back down to a healthy weight. She weighs approx 70 pounds. She is already spayed, microchipped and has been brought up to date on vaccines again. She is heartworm negative. Shiloh is a fun loving and adventurous girl!! She LOVES people and kids. She has been good with other dogs. She can be a little dominate and pushy with her excitement but generally likes other dogs and having a fun playmate. She's been fostered around cats but still needs work around them. She tried to be overly pushy with one recently. That cat gave her a few good swats so she's currently afraid of them. Sadly she seems to have lost a lot of her training after she was adopted but she's relearning it with her foster. She is crate trained but will test you vocally to see if you'll let her out. Once she realizes that doesn't work she does well. She is potty trained and loves car rides. She is mostly leash trained. She pulls at times when she's excited but doing better with it. She can sit and lay down. She is very good motivated. She is extremely loving and loyal. She loves to be with you all the time. She would be a great hiking buddy or anything fun she would be happy to do alongside you. Shiloh has the typical active fun loving husky personality. Needs an active family willing to give her playtime and exercise daily. She needs a fenced in yard. She requires more than just being put out in the yard, she needs you to play with her and engage both her mind and body. She has not had any trouble sharing food, treats or toys with people. She growled when another dog tried to steal her food, understandable!! So we feed her in her kennel so she has her own space to eat. Shiloh has the traditional husky shedding. She needs to be brushed and will shed out her undercoat at least once a year. She can also be very vocal which is another typical breed trait. If you cannot handle lots of hair around the house and husky sounds then she's not the right one for you. Vet and home checks required. Located in Hampton VA.
