About RJ

RJ is only about 25 lbs of Chihuahua mix cuteness with a happy personality. He is gentle and sweet and loves to get attentions. RJ has limited use of his front right leg due to an old injury. He does not appear to be in pain and gets along just fine. He enjoys running and playing in the yard with his foster sibling and takes short walks with his foster family. He is able to navigate stairs, but would do best with a one or two story home. He will share his affection and would like to be your new little snugger and lap dog. He is happy to get belly rubs and be spoiled. RJ loves, did we say LOVES, others dogs and will most definitely need at least one friendly, furry sibling in his fur-ever home! RJ and his foster sibling play several times a day (~20 min or so each time) until they wear each other out and then both settle in for a nice long rest. His forever home could be an apartment, condo or other place without a fenced yard. He does have a fence at his foster home as well as a doggie door, and he is perfectly comfortable coming and going. He does enjoys being outside and going for his daily walks, and he walks nicely on a leash. After that, he is happy as a clam to hang out with you and be a good 'ole couch potato. RJ loves to play with toys, too. He shares them nicely and is a great little playmate. He has just a fun personality. This little guy has the benefit of already being house broken, is crate trained and sleeps through the night without any problems. So many things that are wonderful about adopting a little bit older pup. In addition, RJ seems to pick up on rules and expectations easily and does not push the limits. He is a good little fellow and is eager to please as well as easily redirected. RJ is a little shy around strangers so his new family will need to give him time and patience to settle in; again, having another happy, confident furry sibling will help with his transition period. In addition, RJ loves car rides and going with you places! He doesn't love being a lone for long periods of time so someone who is home the majority of the time or that is happy to take him wherever they go would be the best type of family. DOB 04/07/2018. As part of RJ's $250 adoption fee, he is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.
