'Casper the Friendly Ghost', has the most stunning BLUE eyes that will capture your attention immediately! He is still growing and is about 40lbs. He is the ultimate car dude! Really loves to go wherever with his person. Casper loves car rides and traveling with you; call him a road trip fanatic. So why not plan to take him as many places as you can; plus he's been good with new people he meets and is a happy boy. He has been friendly with everyone he has meet either out on walks or if new people come to the home. Casper also LOVES being outside and running around freely in the yard. He will need a 5ft+ fence at his new home, so he can spend a lot of time in the yard enjoying nature, listening to birds sing and just laying in the sun. Therefore, no apartments or condos since he does need a fenced yard. Casper has a nice, deep, loud bark so he makes a good watch dog. He will let you know if anyone is coming to the house. Nonetheless, he likes everyone he meets and is friendly with strangers in and out of the home. Want some descriptive words for Casper to get an idea of his unique and beautiful personality - how about this run down: Energetic, Obedient, Smart, Food/treat motivated, Talkative, Quiet, Submissive, Shy/Timid, Curious, Mischievious, Loyal, Independent. As you can see he has a lot of great qualties that make up his cool personality. With a confident and positive person, he is going to be an absolute perfect addition to the family! He is already crate trained and doesn't mind chilling out and sleeping and does so without any issues. His potty training has gone well and with consistency and routine he is good to go. As with all young dogs, training and acceptable behavior is the responsibility of their family and Casper is still learning commands and things like loose leash walking/walking politely on a leash. His new family should continue to work with him to help him grow into a well behaved young pup! Though Casper wants to play with other large, female dogs, he isn't really good at understanding their signals about when to back off and stop playing which causes some scuffles. He isn't a fan of little dogs or maile dogs...just a heads up. Therefore, we are looking for him to be an only dog in the home. He has meet his fosters great-nieces (7 and 9) and did great with them; they are dog savvy kids. Plus he still nips so kids should always be monitored with this friendly ghost as he still plays a bit rough. So it is probably best for Casper to be in a home with young adults/adults. DOB 01/07/2022, male Hound/Husky mix. As part of Casper's $250 adoption fee, he is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.
