PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE BIO ON THIS DOG BEFORE REQUESTING AN APPLICATION. MANY OF OUR DOGS HAVE STRICT REQUIREMENTS FOR THEIR ADOPTION. 5-year-old male purebred Mini Poodle, about 11 pounds. Max is the father of Nike and Krash. Hellooo! My name is Max. I'm an energetic chap who loves to play and snuggle! I have a cheeky side that will melt your heart and I have an endless supply of kisses and snarfs to share. I LOVE kids! I sleep with my teenage foster human every night. I do excellent in my crate and sometimes just hang out in that thing. I am not a fan of large dog breeds, but I am learning to be a good mate and get along with big dogs even if they aren't my favorite. I'm potty trained and do well on car rides. I am glued to my foster mom while the kids are at school but once they come home, I like to hang out with the kiddos and snuggle. I'm happy to be your companion on just about any activity including walks, living room yoga, and especially naps. Nothing like a good snoozer when I'm feeling knackered after a big day! Max will alert bark for anyone at the door and quickly settles after introductions. Not sure how he would do with cats, but he gets along well with his female Maltese roommate. Smidget Rescue is not a shelter, and dogs cannot be seen at the Rescue location. All dogs are fostered throughout the Puget Sound area and are brought to the events where they can be met by prospective adopters. Puppies are adopted with a refundable spay/neuter deposit (in addition to the adoption fee) and adopters are required to get their puppy to our vet for their pre-scheduled spay-neuter appointments. You must live within a three-hour radius of Seattle, WA, (such as Portland, Vancouver B.C., etc.), so we can arrange for a home visit. If your home seems like a great fit for the dog you would like to adopt, you must then drive to meet the dog at one of our weekend events or at the fosters home.
