About River

**REGAL RIVER** Age 5.6yrs Phoenix AZ. Please help us welcome River to the ANM family! We just rescued him from the MCACC East shelter euthanasia list. He found himself there due to the distemper outbreak in the shelter...HE IS NEGATIVE AND HEALTHY! This big, gorgeous....and I do mean big...he weighs in at 72.5lbs...boy is just a happy-go-lucky soul. He does not realize how big he is. Looks like he came into county as a stray in early May. He was terrified upon arrival and was shaking; tail tucked and hid in the back of his kennel. After a few days he settled enough to go into the play-yard. He knew his basic training skills and was motivated by treats. He loved going into yard but did not like going back in the kennel building...who could blame him? He loved to play in the hose while his kennel was being cleaned. He started to get more comfortable and would get the zoomies in the yard, allowed petting, happy boy just did not like being in this environment. He is neutered, up-to-date on shots and microchipped. Since he is so big we are going to recommend a home with older kids. He will need a family that is willing to give him the time to settle in on his own and take it slow.
