About MOLLIE

Mollie is estimated to be 4 years old and she weighs 60 pounds. She was a stray whose owners never came for her, but she is such a good dog, she must have come from a loving home. She is an American Staffordshire Terrier mixed with Pointer and a few other breeds. Mollie enjoys playing with toys, and her toys should be sturdy because she will chew too much on stuffed toys, and then the stuffing comes out which can be dangerous for her to ingest. But she's happy like a kid to receive a new toy or ball and is just a happy girl all around. She loves going for walks. This very sweet girl loves to give hugs. She's a hugging greeter (foster mama is teaching her 'down' because we know not everyone is up to giving hugs at the door). Mollie just wants to be close to her people, on the couch, in bed, or sitting on the floor. If you're standing and not paying attention to her, she'll seek a hug. If you tell her down, she'll seek a belly rub. As long as you're involved, she's right where she wants to be. She does require a home with a yard so she can have her own personal space for potty breaks and to hang out with her family. She is not a candidate for dog parks -- so no apartment or condo living for her. She needs to be an only dog. Mollie is proving herself to be housebroken and nicely behaved. She's not fond of being alone. Children are okay in Mollie's new home but they should be at least 14 years old and relatively sturdy. Since she stands up and into people for hugging, we don't want small children to get knocked down. Mollie will love you to the moon and back in appreciation for your love. She is spayed, current on vaccines, and microchipped. She'll go home with collar, ID tag, license, harness, and leash. We can set up a meet & greet upon approved application.
