About Daphne

DOB 05/11/2021. Great Pyrenees mix. Only eligible for adoption within 1 hour of Wake Forest, NC. I'm a happy girl �'�| just a happy, happy girl. I subscribe to the 'water bowl is half full' approach to life and let light and positivity guide my spirit. I'm an extrovert at heart and like to greet (almost) everyone and everything I I see. I LOVE people, other dogs �'�| and evens cats! My love language is expressed through physicality like hugs, kisses, and playing. I'm actually a very quiet girl (aside from when I'm crated). I'm always excited to see my people and I hop around like an excited bunny rabbit when I first see them each morning or when they get home from work or errands. Out in the (fenced) yard, I get my exercise in by running zoomies and sailing through the air like a graceful gazelle. I love to play and have fun and can find fun with almost anything �'�| leaves, butterflies, grass, frogs, you name it. Indoors, I like to play with toys of any kind (a peanut butter stuffed Kong is a favorite), but I sometimes get confused about what are your toys and what are my toys. I mean, the remote did sort of look like a bone and it was hard like a bone �'�| how was I supposed to know it wasn't a bone!? I'm not all about play though. After a good meal, I do like to curl up on the couch or a chair near you and relax the day away. I'm happiest when I'm with my people, so I would prefer a family where someone works from home most of the time. I am truly a good girl, and I'm house trained, but mischief likes to find me when I'm bored, so crating me when you are away from home is a good idea. I am crate trained, but I am reluctant about it �'�| and this is really the only time I will be verbal. I will settle down once I know you fully understand that I am not happy about you leaving me. I happen to enjoy car rides and I'm pretty good on a leash, so you could take me with you more than not. I LOVE other dogs and am looking for a home with a doggie sibling to run and play with OR a family that is willing to invest in doggie daycare for me to get my social needs met. I am good with cats and will want to play with them. Some cats may find my size and exuberance overbearing though. I do LOVE, LOVE, LOVE people, but little kids make me nervous with their unpredictability and energy, so I would do best in a home with kids 10 and older.
