About Zeus

Adoption Fee: $200
German Shepherd
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

This is Zeus! He is a neutered 3 year old German Shepherd. He was a birthday present to my husband. He was born August 1, 2019. We are located in Orem, Utah. He has had obedience training and all vaccines. He is also chipped because we care so much about him. Unfortunately, we need to rehome Zeus because I have recently found out that I am very allergic to him. I have always had hypoallergenic dogs, so I didn't know I was allergic. I have been sick and they only recently figured out it is Zeus. My husband works out of town, so I have to take care of him and I need to stop being sick. He loves playing with other dogs, but he needs to acclimate. He has been around multiple dogs and he has loved them all after a brief period of anxiety. He hasn't been around a cat or other small animals, so I don't know how he would do. He LOVES children. He has always reacted well to them, just a little excited. Zeus is wonderful and very loyal to his people. He does bark through the gate outside at strangers, but doesn't bark often in the house. He only barks if someone he doesn't know walks in unexpectedly. He is kennel trained and never has accidents in the house. He is fixed and chipped. When he was fixed, he developed a high fever from a popped stitch. He developed EPI which is a lifelong condition, but doesn't affect his lifespan as I understand it. It is managed and he has no issues as long as his powder medicine is mixed in with his food. He is purebred but the paperwork was never filed. He loves walks! He walks out front with me and doesn't leave the yard. However we have never left him out front without us being there. He loves to play and is very energetic with other dogs. He has never slept in our bed because he prefers his kennel. He knows the commands 'sit' , 'stay' , 'kennel'. He knows his name well and always responds. We have a decent sized yard for him to run it. We want him to find a forever home that will love him like we do.
