Buster's estimated date of birth is June 27th. He is one of a litter of 9 puppies. Mom appears to be a Shepherd mix and dad was a traveling man so we don't know much about him. He is crate trained and housebroken. Buster sleeps well through the night, enjoys playing with other dogs, interacting with people and is respectful of the cats he has met. He can entertain himself for a few hours by playing with toys while his foster mom works. He enjoys going on walks and frequently naps with is belly up and completely relaxes. You can see this in a picture below. He is a very smart dog and not a couch potato. He will thrive in a home with people who are interested in continuing his training to help him become an amazing adult dog. With training, Cooper could excel in agility, scent work, disc games, fly ball, trick training, search & rescue and other activities where he can keep his mind and body working. His foster mom shared:'Check out the ears on this puppy! They are adorable and sooo soft. Buster is alert, very smart, can self entertain with toys, and enjoys playing with my other dogs. He is affectionate, curious (he has mastered the head tilt!), and prances as he walks. Buster is well rounded, a nice combination of playful puppy and snuggly cuddler. Such a great dog!' We do not provide DNA testing which is the only way to know with certainty which breeds are in his genetic background. Our best guess is that he is a German Shepherd mix. We expect him to reach 60-70 lbs as an adult, but we can't guarantee size at maturity. We highly recommend training classes for all of our dogs to get everyone off to a great start. Training recommendations are available.
