About Bruno

I am facing some health concerns and need to find a forever family for my Bruno. Bruno is a tall, 90 pound loving companion, healthy, but has seasonal allergies. Regular cleaning of his ears is necessary to avoid discomfort or ear infection. He is afraid of small children who are at his eye level and will use his muzzle to push them down. I do not allow my toddler grandchildren to be in the room with him. He is fine with my older grandchildren and people in general. He has an extra large orthopedic dog bed, lol, but prefers the sofa. His 'room' is my family room. He does not have free reign of my home. This is because i have toddler grandchildren. He knows commands like sit, down, relax (similar to down but he kicks out one back leg), come, leave it, up, off, High 5, and shake, oh... and quiet and good boy. Also, he is asked to sit while I fill his food bowl, and keeps eye contact until I say 'ok'. He has a walking harness (no collar around his neck for walking) and a bark collar. Bruno has never bitten anyone, and loves to talk... he is sassy in a playful kind of way. He is very possessive of our property and will defend it from all invading squirrels with great vigor. He is NOT deterred by baby gates and will jump over them. His favorite toys are stuffies, which he tosses about for fun. However... ladies, watch your hair scrunchies! He will eat them, along with remote controls and eye glasses. Everything must be put up if he is left alone. Just like any 3 year old. He loves Jazmine, my chihuahua and they cuddle on the sofa often. He knows his food schedule and will remind you to feed him. I have a copy of his NKC registration. His adoption fee is being donated to help other dogs find a good home. Bruno is a beautiful dog and people stop me often to ask about him. I think he thinks he's handsome by the wag of his tail! I do not know how he does with large dogs and since Covid, I had stopped socializing him. This may require some reintroduction efforts. I'm happy to answer any questions you may have.
