**OUR LONGEST RESIDENT** Well hi there! I'm Mateo! People call me Teo for short. I am a high-energy, playful shepherd mix. I weigh about 75 pounds (I've gained some weight since being rescued and fed properly!) and absolutely love toys! My foster mama and vets take good care of me: I am neutered, vaccinated, and taking preventatives monthly. A lot of people overlook me because of my past and the things that I need because of that, but I promise I will love you for the rest of my life! I just need a chance to show you I'm a good boy and want to be loved. I'm sure many of you have read my story�'�| Life before rescue was awful and I'm so grateful I was saved from the three-foot chain, lack of shelter, scarce food, and, most obviously, no love. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. If the dog is posted, they are still available! Once arriving, these dogs enter foster homes, as we do not have a shelter. We cannot adopt out dogs to a home with dogs that are not fixed or up to date on shots. If interested in adopting, please submit an application online at www.pack9rescue.org. Our adoption fee for altered dogs is $350 and goes directly to saving the lives of more dogs. Our adoption fee for unaltered puppies will be $400 which includes a refundable $50 deposit upon receipt of spay/neuter certificate.
