About Rory

Adoption Fee: $350
Siberian Husky / German Shepherd
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

From being thrown out of a car in Southwest Detroit in the back of Giovanni's Italian Restaurant and running the streets for over 2 weeks to officially living the dream and being spoiled rotten. Ladies & Gentlemen meet our gorgeous baby girl #Aurora aka #Rory. #Bashful, #Affectionate & oh so #Sweet, Rory is a 2 year old #Husky/#Shepherd mix who weighs in around 45lbs. If you're in the market for a new partner in crime, Rory might be the perfect fit for you. She's very laid back and all she wants to do is be by her humans side. Rory may play hard to get at first, but once she warms up we promise she'll completely steal your heart. She's more confident with woman and can take a little bit to warm up with men. She'd thrive best in a home with older kids or for a younger active couple who plans to have children in the future. Her hobbies include snuggling up on the couch with her favorite people, she loves trying new foods and treats, sun bathing, stalking her foster dad around the house, watching tv, utilizing different forms of enrichment, any activities outdoors and her daily walks. Rory is very food motivated and is currently working on learning her basic commands. She's 100% potty trained, 100% crate trained, and does well on a leash. Rory does incredible being left out alone without utilizing the crate as well. Due to Rory being able to clear a 4 ft fence and being low maintenance, we will accept applications for her without a fenced in yard for an active person, couple or family. She'd thrive best as the only dog in the home or possibly with another laid-back large breed dog that will not be in her face. She would not do well with a hyper, high energy dog. ***Adoption Requirements: No Exceptions*** - No Small Dogs - Would Thrive Best As The Only Pet Rory is currently up for adoption through Help Us, Help Them Dog Rescue. Her adoption fee is $350 & will include her distemper, rabies, bordetella, parvo, & lepto vaccines; deworming; microchip; heartworm test; fecal test & being fixed. Rory is currently on both flea & tick, as well as heartworm prevention. Rory is currently being fostered within the metro Detroit area. Adoption Event's Coming Up: Rory will be at our Adoption Event at the Novi Pet Expo on November 11th ,12th & 13th. The Expo will be showcased at the Suburban Collection Showplace located at 46100 Grand River Ave, Novi, MI 48374. We highly recommend applying prior to the event to be pre-approved for adoption. Our mission is to play an active role throughout our community by 'Lending A Helping Hand' to animals that were either abandoned, in shelters, unwanted, homeless, chained outdoors, or victims of prior abuse and/or neglect. Our rescue family has accomplished this by setting up each animal and their new families up for success by educating and consulting pet parents about what's in the best interest of their pets overall well-being, and creating an awareness in our community about the vital importance of fully vetting and spaying or neutering their pets. #HelpUsHelpThem #HelpUsHelpThemDogRescue
