About One-Eyed Jack

LOCATION: Fort Worth, Texas DOB: 10/19/2016 (estimate) Hello! I'm One-Eyed Jack! I am about 130 pounds (and counting) of the best dog ever! That's not the only interesting fact about me. My name may have clued you in on this one, but I only have one eye. What my name doesn't tell you is that I don't let that slow me down when it comes to my favorite activity of all time: sleeping! If I could nap all day, I would. There's something you should know though, just because I am napping does not mean I am quiet. It doesn't matter if I am asleep, being scratched, or up and about, I moan a lot. It's gotten to the point where my foster calls me Moaning Myrtle. It's not a growl or anything negative, it's just how I like to express myself! I currently have dog siblings but I'm not really playful and don't interact with them much, although I am starting to play a little more with them. I have occasionally gotten grumpy and growled at them, but I am always easy to redirect and never escalate. I don't show any signs of resource guarding either, and my foster thinks that I would be perfectly happy with or without siblings. I use a doggie door and am housetrained and I am crate trained but usually my foster family doesn't put me in the crate anymore and I do just fine. When I'm out of the crate I get to partake in my other favorite activity: being by my people's sides. I can be a bit of what they call a velcro Dane. I'll even combine my favorite things and take a nap laying right at your feet. If you're looking for someone who wants head and ear scratches, I'm your guy. I do have a tendency to really bond with the male human of the house and I will guard him a little when my fellow furry siblings are wanting to play. As for a leash, I can be a little curious, but I will take corrections. For the most part, though, I stay right by my human. Would you like to see me nap on your couch?
