About Rosie

Adoption Fee: $75
Black and Tan Coonhound / German Pinscher
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

Hey, everyone. This is a different post than usual. But - we are looking to re-home our 8 month old Black & Tan Coonhound Mixed with Blue Heeler. Rosie is a loving and vocal dog. She gets along with children (Alessia is 5 years old with disabilities), we've seen/had her around some other dogs and she barks but doesn't end up bothering them & just wants to play. She has a hound dog bark! She is house trained & only seems to pee a little when excited. She sleeps in a crate over night, is in a crate when we eat and when we aren't home. She will typically whine when in a crate for a few minutes when leaving but stops after 5-10 minutes. She loves being outside and playing in rivers/streams. She is not leash trained so she is a puller. Rosie does bark at everyone passing by and animals. We've taken her to a groomer and she does bark the entire time. We have tried a cheap shock collar and prong collar and she will bark ignoring the shock & will choke herself with a prong collar. She eats 2 1/2 scoops of dry food a day. She really is a sweet dog. We would love for Rosie to be in a home with a family who has space for her to run, has neighbors who are okay with the hound dog bark and will have the time to love and work with her. I've made the mistake of wanting a dog more than anything, then actually sitting and realizing how much work puppies are and how much time is needed to work and train with her. But we've reached a point to where we are always yelling at her for barking because it scares our 5 year old daughter and just have come to the realization we don't have enough space for her to run living in a small mobile home park. Rosie is up to date with her shots. She is not fixed. We will also have a record book for you with her shots. Along with Rosie, we will have for you a 100 ft training lead leash, a red tie out leash, a prong collar, a choker collar, a bag of food, water/food bowl dish, and a twin size blanket used for her crate and lastly a metal crate for her. Please keep the rude comments to yourself, I already know I made a mistake and am upset with myself for doing this to Rosie.
