About Bentley

Meet Bentley Almost Home Foster Kennels, MN Lic. 132328 is a 501c3, not-for-profit, foster-based, rescue organization. AHFK is located in SE Minnesota in the Austin/Albert Lea area. AHFK is primarily a Beagle and small dog rescue. Our focus is to pull from High-Kill Shelters and to save those dogs that are at risk of euthanasia. All AHFK adoptions require an approved, completed application, a Veterinarian and Personal Reference Check, a smoke-free environment, and a home visit. Our Adoption fee is $425.00 for a single dog adoption. All our dogs are completely vetted, spayed/neutered, and microchipped. We are currently accepting applications for Bentley. Bentley is a 9-year old, male, Maltese who has been released from his duties of breeding. Bentley has lived his life in a cage and that is all he knew until he came to Almost Home Foster Kennels/Rescue. Bentley felt, for the first time in his life, grass, the ability to run free of wire surroundings, to drink from an actually bowl, not a gerbil waterer, to experience having unlimited water and to be able to have a 'mouth full' of clean water. Bentley is still reserved around humans. He was only handled when he was to breed. Bentley is looking for a family who has the time, patience, compassion, and love to work with him and to help him gain his confidence. Bentley is crated at night. And he is getting better at keeping his crate dry. Bentley has been neutered and he does have a dental procedure scheduled. We are looking for a furever family who can nurture Bentley, who has time and patience, love, and compassion to help him gain the trust and confidence that he needs.
