Rex is a 99 pound German Shepherd who is estimated to be 3 years old. He is a friendly guy who gets along well with everyone he meets. He is social with other dogs but his previous owner says he does not do well with livestock or small animals. He should not be placed in a home with either of these. His previous owner also said he is the kind of dog who becomes very bonded to his person and family and will follow you around all day. He is affectionate and playful. Given his size and the fact that his play style is rough, he should not go into a home with children. Also, his previous owner said he can climb 6 foot fences, that he loves to roam, and that he will need to be managed and supervised when in the back yard. That means he will need to be in a covered kennel or cable line if left alone. Rex is a lap dog who loves belly rubs. His previous owner said he is affectionate, cuddly and loves hugs. He is also very loyal to his family and has many of the typical qualities of his breed. The adoption fee is $50, plus $25 for an annual dog license, if you live in Jackson County.
