About Charm

Bengal
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Charm is a teeny and GORGEOUS 4-year-old female Bengal who is originally from Canada. In the home where she currently lives, there are no young children, and there is a dog and a cat that Charm is not fond of. For this reason her family believe that they should do the right thing for Charm and allow her to go to a loving home that better suits her wishes. We normally post a lot of photos with each of our Bios but the family had a really tough time getting her to STOP MOVING long enough to get us a good set of photos! This is why we're posting a video instead. Here's Charm's family would like you to know about her: Charm is an amazing cat. She is affectionate and loves to be around her people. She is a little shy in a new environment but will adjust quickly if people are patient with her. She does like the wand toys, balls, and other toys. She loves her cat tree. Charm is such a sweetheart and is very smart. She can be a loud chatter box when she wants something. Charm was spraying in the room where she was kept just after being spayed but she is not doing that anymore. Prior to her spay she did have a problem peeing on a bed in the room. But there is no bed in her room now so we are not sure if she still does that. She doesn't like being held and it can be difficult to give her medicine. Charm can be stubborn-she wants what she wants. Because she is in one room, she can be a bit of a door-darter so someone will have to be very careful with her and watch for this behavior. Charm does not like having her temperature taken at all. The vet had a hard time and even skipped it at her recent exam. While Charm does enjoy being near humans, she is not fond of the elderly resident cat. There is a dog in the home, but we were worried about her swatting at him, so there has not been any close contact with the dog. She might warm up to a cat-friendly dog with the proper slow introductions. Charm has been around teenagers and has been okay if they respect her space. Charm has never bitten anyone. She tends to slobber some when she is being petted, we think that is really cute! Charm would be fine as an only cat but might be okay with male cat with slow introduction. The introductions would have to be slow and steady (Bengal Rescue has great information on their website about how to do this properly. Currently Charm weighs 7.8 pounds. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and is microchipped. Charm does use her litter box and likes clay over the pellet type of litter. She eats a combination of Tiki Cat dry food and Friskies wet food.
