Bates is a 13 month old Dane with the sweetest disposition and a need to please. Although a�%A0 little shy at first, he warms up quickly to love and structure. He will be sure to fill that best friend spot in your heart. Bates is good with other dogs and cats. He was surrendered by a family with many children of all ages. We are requiring kids 8+ yrs old unless they've recently lived with a giant breed dog. Bates was surrendered with his littermate Athena but we will not be adopting together due to the potential for littermate syndrome as well as the fact that they both deserve individual attention. Bates and Athena were returned to the breeder due to family moving and the breeder reached out to us for help. They are puppies of Duchess who was surrendered a few months ago along with Scout, who is Duchess's puppy from a younger litter. **Both Athena and Scout are looking for families of their own. Bates is UTD on vet care, vaccines and preventatives. He is located in a foster home in Shelby NC. We do adopt out-of-state but require adopters to travel to the foster home with their current dog/dogs (to ensure they will be friends) to pick up.
