About Andy

Gentle and goofy Andy had a rough start in life and is still a little timid, but who wouldn't be after being hit by a car and left for dead? Luckily, he made his way to us, and we were able to save his leg! Andy is SUPER gentle, friendly, curious and smart. He's good with other dogs (we don't know about cats) and loves to play with people. But he is nervous around strangers. Unfortunately, Kids make Andy nervous too, so a no child household is required. Andy is a one-person dog, a cuddler for his chosen person. He needs a calm routine home so he can feel safe and relaxed. A Fenced yard will be ideal. He is a hound and likes his space. Andy thinks he is a lap dog, loves snuggles, and will lay in your lap if you let him. He's about 40 lbs, 1yr old, and cute as can be. He's completely house trained,and is quickly learning some house manners. Andy will be fully vetted. No calls. Apply on CrisisDogsNC.org. Excellent vet reference and virtual home visit required. Your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We prefer a fenced yard, but this is not required for all our dogs. We transport by land or air whenever possible.
