About Ginger

Ginger is a five month old bloodhound. The people we got her from claim she's a purebred but I put mixed because I don't know for sure. She's very pretty with a lot of classic bloodhound looks. She received a first round of vaccinations, and we can provide vet records. She's completely healthy as far as I'm aware. She's nose-dominated and will chase her nose anywhere. She's partially trained to sit and lay down, but needs a forever home where she can be fully trained. Our home has small kids in it and she's so boisterous she can knock them over too easily. She's generally fine with them, it's just our 3 year old goes flying. Our hope is to find Ginger a home she can be free to chase her nose in, with room to roam and bay at squirrels. I'd imagine she can be trained into a great working dog, she's got the famous bloodhound nose and stubbornness down pat. She won't be good in a home with small children unless you're comfortable training her up quickly. She's never met a cat as far as I know, but has spent time in the dog park and gets along great with other dogs. She likes to dig in the yard, which isn't great, but she's a real snuggler.
