X URGENT- TO BE ADDED TO EUTH LIST ON 11/3 PER SHELTER. Please help us find a good home (or foster and rescue) for this handsome, friendly chow mix boy, estimated to be 3 years young and perfectly sized at only 45 lbs. The poor guy was found as a stray with a gash across his neck and brought to the Kern County Shelter in Bakersfield where the shelter notified us on 11/1 that he will be added to the euthanasia list in 48 hours and will be at great risk then. He has since been treated and named Christopher. The shelter says he is healing nicely with treatment, and is very friendly with people and was doing good with other dogs. However, he did do well kenneled with another dog so he is still hidden in the back area, but may be adoptable with a behavior waiver. Until recently, he was Rescue only due to his medical treatment, and thus unfortunately hidden in the back and so no one knew he was there.
